Paul for President
We got the following in our mailbox about a week ago:
The Concerned Friends of Pakistan – Dubai Chapter, have partnered with Karachi Relief Trust (KRT), to support the affectees of the worst flooding in Pakistan in living memory. More specifically, our focus will be on providing for food and household goods for camps managed by KRT. - To support this initiative we will be holding a silent auction fund-raising event on September 23rd and 24th 2010 at the Capital Club DIFC. All of the funds raised from this event will be used to support KRT’s relief efforts. The auction will be showcasing a premium collection of artwork, designer clothing and jewellery. All monies raised will be announced at the end of the two day event. Use of funds and all receipts will be made transparent to all participants.

FN Designs 1st anniversary & SKETCH#8
With the eminent reaction to SKETCH -the highly awaited event- that takes place at thejamjar, we are pleased to announce that the next sketch event is FN Designs one year anniversary, and to celebrate this day, we've gone ahead and made SKETCH#8 a free for all draw and swap event. Patrons are welcome to come down to the jamjar and join us in our celebration. All art created will be on display and the artist are free to swap their work created on that day to each other.
There will be no registration fee required for the anniversary.
Earlier this year FN Designs launched its clothing line and apparel brand "EIGHT," and was commissioned to designs a shirt for the opening of Burj-Khalifa that was responded with in high demand by the UAE public.
This past year was a pretty good one and we're glad to say that we've made our small dent in the local art scene, give it sometime and we'll for sure break through and cement our position in the scene. We hope to see you all at the next "SKETCH" and future events. Also keep an eye out for our upcoming project "Amor."

FN Desings launches EIGHT
EIGHT - A brand that is made by others who want to make it a brand. The reason behind such human nature has been linked to various notions of contemporary arguments. We coexist to make a difference, or at least we try. Scattered we are of no use and together we are a group of egos; and somewhere in the middle of something but not quite there yet, is what makes sense to us, and after seven comes EIGHT, and then we clothe you.
